Extruder 2 motor not working while printing

Printing with extruder 1 is fine. Printing with extruder (left)2 there is no PLA feed. Loading filament works fine, so THE steppermotor is oké.
THE steppermotor does not work during THE printing job. I did choose THE 2 extruder before slicing and the left hotend heats up.
What could be THE problem? Anyone?

Did you like to print with the 2 extruders at the same design?
You made a 2 color design with 2 different color objects?
If you do so the first needed extruder will heat up and only heat up the second
when needed in the design not earlier.

Does your firmware support the 2nd extruder?

Look in this link.

I’m printing with THE second extruder, because i have a different color filament loaded. So i’m not printing two colors THE same time, i’ve tried that, and it works fine. But just with one single extruder, but number 2 in stead of 1.
I use THE latest firmware version.

Select for the object extruder 2 and in the config before slicing single extruder instead of dual and it will work.

That is just what i have done, but than there is no filament feed while printing. So why is this?

Is the extruder turning?
If not check your wiring maybe unplug and re plug the cables.
The driver card mounts 180 degrees from the others.
If it is make sure the screw that hold the pulley on the motor is tight.
Make sure the alignment is correct

The extruder is turning while load/unload PLA is activated, so it has the right wiring.
The pulley is tightened and the alignment is oké.

the only problem that occurs: there is no filament feed while printing!
If i choose EXTR-2 before slicing, and it doesn’t matter if i choose SINGLE or DUAL head, there isn’t any feed! The nozzle is open and it heats to the right temperature.

I really don’t know where to look further.

EXTR1 is working fine and the prints are almost perfect.

Sounds like a blocked nozzle in Ext 2. Can you hear clicking when the extruder turns?

Let me further define my question.
Is it turning while printing?
Is the LED on the 2nd print head turning on while printing?

Everything is checked and working fine, only THE steppermotor does not turn!
And this occurs only during printing, THE motor works fine while load and unload filament.

Could iT be that there is something missing in THE G-code?

If you’re using the vertex-m1-v1.1-h2 version of the firmware and the Vertex version of Repetier it should work fine.

If you use 2:EXTR2 in the placement and slice with VERTEX SINGLE HEAD in Cura it should work.

Duskey, did you solve your problem as I had a similar issue?
