Extrude motor "twitching" moving very quickly back and forth

I was busy printing and the next moment the Extruder motor started to move slowly back and forth. Best to describe it as “twitching” - moving very quickly back and forth.

Other observations:
No filament is stuck, it does that with and without filament
No gcode problem. I used Cura and Repetier. Sam problem
I did change the tension between the 2 gears
Motor movement is very “lose” while printing. I can actually move it manually in both directions
Here is the interesting part. I swopped the Z drive on the board with the Extruder. Then it works perfectly. So it is not the Steppermotor
Then I plugged the Z Stepper into the Extruder port… and it work 100%
Swop both back and problem is back…

Anybody else had this?

Try setting the reference voltage to 0.55
You can also try backing the pressure off of the feed bearing (the one with the spring)

Thanks Wrong way. I will try it …

0.55 Volt did it. Thanks

Glad to hear it’s up and running.

Enjoy!
