Extract a data point from FFT analysis on PCSGU250

I have a PCSGU250 and am finding it very useful, thank you all for the great product.

I looked at the DLLs downloaded with the “make your own software” package and did not see any that applied to the spectrum analyzer (just the scope and sig gen). I have a low freq radio going into the signal analyzer FFT analysis and want to follow the strength of a signal at a particular frequency (24 or 60kHz). The strength of low freq radio signals varries with solar flare activity and are used to measure sudden ionospheric disturbances (SIDs). My hope would be to get the value of the FFT at the freq of interest every minute or so and plot that versus time. I know that I can save the FFT to a text file and check the file for the value, but since this instrument would run 24/7, I would like to automate the capture of this number and its insertion into a spreadsheet. Any suggestions?

I’m sorry that there are no spectrum analyzer functions in the software development kit for the PCSGU250.
You’ll get just the “raw data” from the oscilloscope.
It seems that you have to do the FFT conversion in your own application software.
You may use either the DSOLink.dll or the PCSGU250.dll to import the data from the oscilloscope to your software.

Thank you for the timely reply! I’ll do as you suggest.
