Hi. I am using the PicProg2009 to program the K8048.
I have configured it (function, hardware) As VW111/K8048(serial) to port com 1.
I load my demo2 program to the PIC and I get the following message:
“The settings don’t match the Pic in the programmer”.
If I hit no it exits, but if I hi yes to continue I am asked if I want to delete all data.
I select yes and I get the following error:
“Error writing to Pic.”
I am stuck here. Can anyone help me?

If this is a kit (K8048)
First go over the assembly of the kit.
Make sure all of the components are in the right spot with proper polarity.
Check the soldering for shorts, cold or incomplete solder joints.
If this is a K8048 or a VM111
You will need to use an unregulated 12 volt of a regulated 15 volt power supply.
You will also need a native serial (RS232) port in your machine.
USB or PCMCIA to serial adapters will not work.
