Hi,
I’m currently using my printer for 8 months.
During this period I’ve seen 2 different issues which maybe related to each other :
- DURING printing, at random time, the printer stops. On the display I read “Y endstop hits”, nevertheless the part is in the middle of the bed and has already printed multiple layers. Restart resolves the issue
- This week my Z-axis got stuck DURING printing. The object was half way a 3 hour print job and my Z-axes got stock. Nothing could get the printer out of this situation, nor rebooting, nor reflashing… After thinking it over during the night :-), I start doing the following :
a) swap X and Z driver on the board : problem not resolved : Z-as still stuck
b) swap X and Z stepper cable : problem not resolved : Z-as still stuck
c) swap X and Z end stop : Z-as is MOVING !!!
d) swapping X and Z back : Z-as AGAIN working.
All steps were executed with power cables removed and at the motherboard. This also looks like an issue with the end-stop, but instead of Y-axis , it’s the Z-axis.I didn’t pay attention to the display if there was an “Z endstop hit” … I was to busy figuring out what would be wrong
Anyone else experiencing the same problem or with the X-axis (I didn’t search the forum) ? Nor didn’t I measure on the circuit or studied the endstop circuitry.
If this turns out to be a sole case, I’m planning to file and RMA and send both endstops to support.
