Endstop doesn't work on Y- and Z-axis

Hi there,

I’ve got a question about the endstops of my k8200. Yesterday it scared the shit out of me when the endstop’s weren’t activated. That means that the head and the bed were still trying to move to a place they couldn’t reach.

After a short while I saw that a cable was loose on the limit switch of the Y-asis. I’ve soldered it back but that didn’t solve the problem. I also don’t know if this is the cause or the effect of the fault.

The X-axis still works perfectly. When the limit switch is activated the bed stops in this direction. The only thing is that the bed can’t ne moved after this action. The electromotor still holds the bed in this place, I don’t know if this is ‘normal’.

I’ve tried switching the limit switch of the (not working) Z-axis to the (working) X-axis and that didn’t work (limit switch broken?). The same for the other limit switch, that didn’t work also on the working X-axis.

Can anyone give me a some advice? Would be nice,

So it appears that my switches are working properly. I’ve been able to test and measure them are they are OK.

Check this entry of the Wiki about the end-stops.[quote=“willemx2”]The X-axis still works perfectly. When the limit switch is activated the bed stops in this direction. By the way, your post is in the Vertex forum, not the 8200.
