EMDIN01 energy meter

Hi,

Two questions about the EMDIN01.

The maximum current is: 5 (40) A
For what I understand the 5 is the current supported by long periods. But in the winter is very easy to exceed this value for some hours at night.
At home I have 6.9kVA, about 30A. Will this device work without problems?

Second question is about the pulse output.
I want to connect a esp8266 board. Will it work with a voltage of of 3.3V applied to the PNP transistor?
