EDU05 no USB communication on Windows 8.1

EDU05 is working well in stand alone mode, plugging the USB cable the on board LCD display show communicating… and that is all!

Windows 8.1 Device Manager does not detect any new hardware activity.

What to do?

After pressing button SW8, there in the Device Manager under Human Interface Devices should appear a one more HID-compliant device.
If this does not happen, you may try following:

  • Connect the EDU05 to other USB socket and try again.
  • Use other USB cable.

Have you possibility to test the EDU05 in other PC?

I was hovering around security software, permissions, etc. assuming the new USB cable was right, Wrong! a new cable and Voilà! I never learn.
