Hello fellow Vertexers,
The 2 nozzles are not exactly at same height. At least 0.1 mm difference and it is an issue.
I checked/retightened everything and couldn’t resolve… where would be the best place for some adjustment while keeping the structural stifness of the head assembly ?
Thanks for tips
Benoit
if the head is still clearing the printed object you might want to look at a Z-offset in marlin for the second extruder…
see a discussion here forums.reprap.org/read.php?263,268033
But if the head is scraping already printed things it will not work…
The nozzle part doesn’t have to be that tight. You can tighten it by hand, and the other nozzle tighten fully, and you’ll easily get 0.1mm difference.
Tx for 2 great suggestions
Good idea about the Z-offset, however I like to have the hardware as best as possible first, will try to lower the nozzle a little bit (maybe put some thread locker to secure the position)
