Driver installation PCGU1000

Hello Velleman,

I developed a sophisticated control program for the PCGU1000. I use “Setup factory 9” to distribute my program to my customers.
But for the first time of use I also need to include the drivers of the PCGU1000 V5.4.0.0.

My problem is that the installation procedure via the device manager is absolute not user friendly. It gives a lot of problems because not all my customers do have knowledge of drivers installations.

Do you have a more convenient procedure e.g. by starting up executable file that does the driver installation?

This file could than be included in the setup procedure of “Setup Factory 9”

Please reply,

Thanks,
Chris

Here a link to download the PCGU1000 driver with an installation executable: box.net/shared/4s5rpv8or6

To install the driver extract the files to a folder and then run the PCGU1000DriverInstaller.exe in the folder.

The installation executable is used to copy driver files and register a device on a PC before the PCGU1000 device has been connected.
When the device is connected to the PC for the first time, the drivers will be installed with little interaction from the user. (E.g. In Windows XP the user should select “Install the software automatically”.)

Please check also the workaround to use the PCGU1000 on 64-bit Vista or Windows 7.
You’ll find the instructions in the Release_Notes.pdf included to this PcLab2000SE v4.03 installation package: velleman.eu/downloads/files/ … _v4_03.zip

Thank you for your quick response!

Installation of drivers is a piece of cake now and works fine!

Thanks again!
