Driver for PCSGU250 won't install in Windows 8

Hi, I just installed Windows 8 , and tried to install the winusb driver, for the PCSGU250, which I just downloaded from the website.
This driver won’t install in Windows 8.
I get the message The third-party INF does not contain digital signature information

can you please fix this ?

kind regards,

Joris Weijters

In 64-bit version of Windows 8 you have to disable the driver signature enforcement in order to install the PCSGU250 driver.
For more details how to disable the driver signature enforcement please see:

Please use the latest driver for the PCSGU250 from this downloads page:
velleman.eu/support/download … U250&type=
Download and extract the package: “Drivers for Windows Vista and Windows 7. (Can also be used for Windows XP)”.

Thanks for the information. I found how to do this, there are several ways desbribed, but I think this is the best way.

  1. Windows Key + R
  2. Enter shutdown.exe /r /o /f /t 00
  3. Click the “OK” button
  4. System will restart to a “Choose an option” screen
  5. Select “Troubleshoot” from “Choose an option” screen
  6. Select “Advanced options” from “Troubleshoot” screen
  7. Select “Windows Startup Settings” from “Advanced options” screen
  8. Click “Restart” button
  9. System will restart to “Advanced Boot Options” screen
  10. Select “Disable Driver Signature Enforcement”
  11. Once the system starts, install the drivers
