Driver board problem

Last week i installed the second extruder kit. Installed everything ok.
But the filament was not feeding, i only heard a beeping sound from the stepper motor of the left extruder.
I swapped out the driver boards between the extruders and the problem was moving with it.
I send back the driver board and received another one, but with the same problem !!

Someone got any tips??

Did you check the reference voltage?

No i didn’t. How can i check.

You can find a how-to here.

Skip the first four paragraphs, and perform the calibration
manuals.velleman.eu/article.php? … FTEDLAYERS

I just check the voltage of the “defective” board. It says 0,9125V.
So i think that isn’t the problem…

The driver boards for the extruders are not orientated in the same way on the mother board please check if you haven’t mounted the second one wrong…

i double checked that. The driverboard for extruder 2 is 180 degree rotated from the others.

The problem only exist with the new driver board. If i swap it out woth another, the problem is also swapping.

No one any idea?

Well if the problem travels with the switching of the driver board. It is obviusly the driver board that is the problem and if the Voltage on the driver check is correct i see no other way then you probably have to make a ticket on it to get it replaced unless velleman support have some other ace up their sleeve as an idea.

I’ve had a defective one whose voltage was correct when idle but dropped dramatically when in use. So it doesn’t necessarily means it’s OK.
And as Marlak said if the problem moves with the stepper driver it must be faulty.
