Drive

Hello,

The x drive works only in 1direction,
When i put the motor on the y drive it works well
When i change the chip nothing changes

When i push set home x: the motor Will do one step in the oppositie way,

What can it be?

Ps i already changed the limit switch

Kind Regards,

Tom

Hello Tom,

Could you upload pictures of the connections for that motor (on the board to wire connector side and on the motor side) without the large heatshrink.?
It sounds like the wiring for that motor is incorrect.

Sincerely

when I connect the motor of the Y on the output of the x drive,

then I have then same problem on the Y motor ( so the wiring is ok)
when I will move the X to right nothing happens ( also the led on the board is not working)

kind regards,

Tom

The motor will not turn to the right if it has not seen an endstop first (for protection). It will however move to the left and then the same amount to the right.

It will see it’s initial position as its zero point. You will first have to make a successful X endstop run before you will be able to move the motor right from a random position.

It will however move to the left and then the same amount to the right.
yes I can move to the left 10 or 100mm but when I want to go to the right nothing happens,
can there be a problem with the motherboard? upload the motherboard maybe?
is this a sparepart?

kind regards,

Tom

Can you try swapping one of the motor driver (the small plug in pcb’s on top of the motherboard) with the axis that is not working?

If the problem now appears on the axis you have swapped the driver with then you have a broken driver and it will be replaced.

If the problem stays on the same axis then the motherboard seems to be defective and will be replaced.

post your findings below please.
