I have purchased my K8055 (P8055-1) a few years ago, and just now I have assembled it and went on programming.
I noticed Velleman had released a new version of this board (-N), I wonder if someone could kindly point out what are the differences between this new board and mine?
My apologies if this has been asked and answered elsewhere. Thanks in advance.
There are only few differences:
The pulse counters are 32-bits in the K8055N and 16-bits in the K8055 .
The pulse counters of the K8055N can count up to 20kHz.
USB communication speed of the K8055N is faster.
K8055N:
counter function on inputs 1 and 2 with adjustable debounce (max 20kHz depends on total I/O load)
general conversion time: 2ms per command
K8055:
counter function on inputs 1 and 2 with adjustable debounce (max 2kHz depends on total I/O load)
general conversion time: 20ms per command
The PWM frequency is different.
K8055N:
46.875 kHz
