Did anyone do the T-Rex challange on Thingiverse?

Here is mine. Low quality print @ 0.3mm Z and 60mm/s speed. Can print much higher res but for this model would have taken 12 hours!

I’ve been using my printer for about 5 months now. Really very impressed by how low maintenance it is. A lot of people on the net mess about with tape and mirrors for a flat surface. I don’t do any of this. I print direct to the hot plate without issue. For PLA the bed temp is 50c. You need to give it a good sanding with coarse sandpaper for first use as stated in the instructions. I now just give it a quick wipe with window cleaner between runs to remove any residue. That is the only maintenance I do on the machine.

I’m running it from a Raspberry Pi using Octoprint. I use Cura for slicing and tinkercad for creating my models.

Hi Richard,

Just completed the teeth part, but apparently I’m unable to slice the head part.
Slic3r ends with an unknown error…

Will give it another try tonight.
