I’m working on a project where I want to take the weight of garbage, and have found that the scale VTBAL5 seems to fit my purpose. The only problem is that it has the power-saving function, which requires the user to turn the scale on and wait ~15 seconds befor weighing the garbage.
Has anyone found a solution to turn this off? I’m sending the data over the RS232-interface, so my first guess is to send some “keep-alive”-command to the scale, but I haven’t found any documentation on that. The second idea is to build an osccilating circuit and put it in parallell with the power-button.
