DHCP settings in VM201 and VM204

In an old post, a bug was mentioned in the VM201 initial firmware which caused the VM201 to act as a DHCP server.
This was said to be corrected with the new firmware.

I’m starting to use one VM201 and one VM204. In the network settings, there is an option to enable or disable DHCP. I thought that this meant that the VM card internal DHCP server could be disabled. However, from a support reply I gather that it means that the card will receive a DHCP address from the router or use a static address set in the network settings. Funny thing is that each time that I disable DHCP in the Iphone app settings, it comes back with the enable box ticked. Btw, I have set the router to assign the same address as the one in the app settings.

So what is the situation with the cards working as DHCP servers?

The VM204 has not the DHCP server functionality.
The tickbox is just the way how the VM204 will receive its IP address.
If DHCP is enabled the VM204 will request an IP from the DHCP server.
If disabled it will take the network settings from the network settings fields.
I’ll check what the deal is with the DHCP tickbox.

As for the VM201 i think a firmware has been released to fix that.

The tickbox in the VM204 is OK. I just got suspicious because of the previous DHCP problem with the VM201 which has now been corrected.
