Hey,
I recently got hps140, but with a problem.
When I turned it on i got the normal picture. I mean wit a X and Y and voltages displayed. But at bottom right stands ??? V and graphics showed at top variable broken line.
The same when i measured with a 9v battery like showed at demo.
Any solution or suggestions plz ?
Thx afvanced,
greetings
When the signal goes out of screen then you have the ??? mark
Please check that the signal is inside the screen limit
i’ve always ???
Also when i try to get to readable and normal screen.
But it doesn’t auto adjust either. I thinks i got this broken
Is the unit set in auto range?
select volt or time, then keep pressing up or down key to set unit in auto range
Time/div and Volt/div must be in reverse (black background).
Yes, the device is in Auto volt and auto time mode. What about reverse ?
When the unit is set to ‘Auto setup’, V/div and T/div are displayed in reverse graphic mode.
Can you provide a link to a screenshot of the behaviour?
I hope it is viewable.
as you can see, there’s no battery or on the back measuring.
At top some black dots on the screen.
these are my settings.
thx advanced
IS it possible you measured mains voltage with a X1 probe, then the input amp is damaged
or
Please try the offset recallibration:
Turn off the unit
While pressing the menu button > turn ON the unit
Offset callibration should start (see screen) release menu button
Callibration should indicate “pass” > then turn off the unit and back on
If fail is indicated for the offset, then the input section is most probably damaged and you should return your unit for repair.
Like i thought, input must be damaged.
Calibration says failed after trying.
How much would be the costs for repair ?
thx for the info and advice

Cost depends on the damage
But most of the time the transport cost is higher then repair cost
Or you must bring to your dealer
If damage is not due to abusive use, then the repair is uder waranty
