Damage to my K8055 due to incorrect 12dc connection

K8055 (VM110) - USB Experiment Interface Board
Hi

If i’ve connected a 12DV power supply to the CLAMP and GND pins the wrong way round on the digital output side of the board is it possible that something may have been damaged ??

If yes, can I have the board repaired or IC’s replaced or do I need to purchase a whole new board (which of course is last resort).

Ade

I think, only IC4 (ULN2803) could be damaged.
This is a standard transistor array, and can be ordered at any Velleman dealer or electronic shop.

Thank you for that, please can you confirm that the product that I’ve identified at Maplins is the correct one :-

Product code :- QY79L

Yes, it should be the correct chip.

HI,

A nice man from Velleman’s sent a replacement chip free of charge and it’s work fine now. Thank you.
