Counter code for K 8055

Hi,
I am A beginer to microcontroller Programming. I have VC++ 8 compiler.
I want to measrue the RPM of a gear wheel through counter.The sensor that i am using has operating teeth frequency 0-25 kHZ wit 20-80% duty cycle.
Can any boady please provide me with the C code for this Application.
Also it would be so kind of you if you please tell me the process how to compile this program and feed it to Microcontroller. Do i need to include some header files or any other files.

You may start by downloading the package k8055_dll_2_001.zip. There is a VC++ example with the header file needed.
Download also the latest DLL package: k8055dll_rev3_0_2.zip

The maximum frequency to the K8055 counter is 2kHz with 50% duty cycle.
The debounce time must be set to 0.
