Converting Volts To Meters With PCSU200

Hello All,

We are considering to use PCSU200 oscilloscope paired with its standard computer software PCLAB200 for the needs of calculating amplitude of vibration in millimetres on a given frequency. We are going to use proximity probe (not triggering) as input sensor connecting it directly to PCSU200. The vibration contains several frequencies, so after FFT we want to choose the lowest frequency and convert its amplitude in volts to millimeters. After some calibration we are going to obtain what we need.

I downloaded and installed PCLAB200, but I didn’t manage to find the way how to convert voltage into displacement. Should we use developer kit and develop our own solution or probably there already exists solution for this ubiquitous task? Would you please provide us some ideas?

If you do not need real time output, you can save the FFT data and open the file in a spreadsheet program (Excel) and do the conversion to meters there.
