Controller Board Issues

Hey, I think I might have damaged my K8200’s controller. Everything is working correctly, but I cannot control the printer’s fan anymore.

I was measuring voltages on the controller board and accidentally shorted the pins to control the printer’s fan. The fan was set to run at 50% capacity (~7.5 V) at the time and a small bit of smoke developed when shorted. I immediately disconnected the power supply and usb cable. Despite my initial panic, everything is now working on the printer except the fan; when activated in repetier, the fan’s LED does not light, and I cannot measure any voltage across the pins.

Is there any way to fix this or find the source of the problem without replacing the whole controller board?

Thanks.

Hi,

You can find the schematics in this link.

You may want to look at D3 (shorted) or T1 or maybe both.
