Im about to install a heated bed bought at Reprap in Copenhagen but cant realy identify the four pole connecter on the Vertex main pcb. Can someone please tell me where to find one ?
There is already a thread about the heatbed, found a picture of it here: viewtopic.php?p=56822#p56822
Take a look at the WIKI → k8xxx-3dprinters.crimed.be/w … =Main_Page
It’s all described there.
cheers,
Christian
Thanks guys but I cant see that niether of these great informative references answers my question; where do I find a connector such as the one connecting to the main pcb ?
I can partly answer that question myself, the connector is known as KF2510 and its avaliable on ebay practically for no money at all. Only problem is they are all in China and has a delivery time of 4 weeks at best.
Therefore my question remains, where can I get one, outside of China ? What other applications is it used in ?

The connectors are sometimes reffered to as Molex or as JST or PSK connectors.
You can find them at any named distributor.
I don’t know a source in Sweden.
I got mine from Reichelt in Germany. -> reichelt.de/PSK-254-4W/3/ind … SEARCH=PSK
I believe CONRAD Electronic will have them too.
Just make sure to also order contacts along with the housings, as they are sold separately from the housings.
A crimp plier to reliably connect them is also nice to have. Most of the contacts don’t solder well. ->http://www.reichelt.de/CRIMPZANGE-PSK/3/index.html?&ACTION=3&LA=446&ARTICLE=6844&artnr=CRIMPZANGE+PSK&SEARCH=PSK
(works for the most widely available crimp contact sizes, not only for PSK) But this is a question of cost.
cheers,
Christian
Thanks Christian
I found out why it looked so familiar. The connector is found in most computers mainly in 3 and 4 pole variants.
