Connection troubles

How many ports i need to open anyway?

grtz

Just the one you are trying to use for the VM201
If you are connecting through a web browser it would be port 80
I think the one for the iPhone at is 9760

Hi,

I got it to work, just open the right port on my router and problem was fixed…

However i tried connecting with andriod phone, works, no problem!!!

But when i try connecting with an iphone connecting failed, so i tried some stuff, now i disconnected the power to the VM201 and restarted the card, my router now gave me another ip adres for the card, now the problem is on the app i can not select some menu where i can change the ip adress…

How do i fix this problem?

grtz

From your description it sounds as if you have DHCP setup for the VM201
In a nut shell when you connect the VM201 to your network the VM201 will go out and request an IP address.
This can change when you disconnect and reconnect.
In the instructions for the VM201 there is a way you can set a static IP address.
When you do this you will need to go into your router and make sure you point the port forwarding to the IP address of the VM201

You will also want to set the IP address outside of the range of the IP address that your router issues for the DHCP.
Just a guess but you might want to use IP address 192.168.0.10

I hope this helps.

nope u’r talking chinese too me man

In section 7 of the manual (you can download it from the link below) is the place where you can change the IP address of the VM201.
Make sure you uncheck DHCP enabled.

Then forward your ports to the address you set.
