Connecting VM110n to industrial equipment

Hello!

I plan to automate public observatory dome using VM110n module and LesveDome driver. I will not use the standard relay diagram shown on that site. Instead, industrial components will be used.

In this context, I have three questions about the connection.

1). I need to connect multiple inductive PNP-type 24VDC powered sensors to VM110n inputs. Can I use following diagram?

How is the resistance R1 to choose? Is BC547 transistor suitable for that?

2). I need to connect multiple discrete outputs of VM110n to Parker (ex SSD, ex Eurotherm) 690 + Series Integrator frequency inverter inputs. Here is a terminal diagram and characteristics of the inputs:

How is the resistance R1 and R2 to choose? Is BC557 transistor suitable for that?

3). I need to connect analog output of VM110n to Parker (ex SSD, ex Eurotherm) 690 + Series Integrator frequency inverter analog input.

What diagram should I use? I could scale the 0-5V value in the inverter, but can I connect DAC1 to inverter analog +10V REF, and analog GND to inverter AIN1 directly?

Thanks in advance!

Could anyone help me?
How is the resistance R1 to choose?
10k will be perfect.
To avoid possible leakage current from the sensor output transistor, it may be good idea to put other 10k resistor between the base and emitter of the Q1.

No. The output voltage is only 5V max.
You can use the digital outputs of the VM110N with pull up resistors to get the required 15-24V dc voltage for the digital inputs of the frequency inverter.
No, you should connect the analog output DAC1 of the VM110N to the analog input (AIN1) of the inverter.
Connect the GND of the VM110N to the GND (0V) input of the inverter.

Thank you! I’ll try it.

As I understand it, in this case a low input level when the output is activated. Is that so? I think this is a great idea - I can invert the signal level inside FC. Furthermore, it significantly simplifies the connection.

No, you should connect the analog output DAC1 of the VM110N to the analog input (AIN1) of the inverter.
Connect the GND of the VM110N to the GND (0V) input of the inverter.
Yes, my mistake, sorry.
