Connect two velleman VM167

Hi,

I’m currently trying to connect two velleman VM 167 cards with the USB ports.
But when i run my tests or the demo software given in the SDK, the method OpenDevices
returns 0 or 2 depending on the drivers installed (I tried with the VM167Driver and VM167DriverWinUSB).
I begin in this field so I wish I could find some help here.

Does everything work OK with both drivers if only one card is connected?

Test with one card:
What does the OpenDevices return in these cases:

  • One card with the address jumper J5 set is connected (should return 1).
  • One card with the address jumper J5 removed is connected (should return 2).

Note: The USB cable must be disconnected when the address jumper setting is changed.

If there is just one card connected, everything was OK.

But I noticed I misunderstood something. Actually, I put both cards to the adress jumper J5 removed.
So I tried to put one card with the adress jumper J5 set.

Both cards are now connected and detected by the demo software!
