Conenction Posts in velleman kits

I have a few velleman kits with the posts for connections. Like the 3W LED driver. What is best to use for these connection posts? I use test leads but they are kind of big for that particular kit. I tried the female Schmartboard Jumpers but they are too small.

Sorry, we do not quite understand your question, please elaborate.

I understand very clearly what’s being asked… I actually have the same question myself.

Several of the kits include what you call “PCB tabs” … Although I’m new to creating my own circuits, I’m no stranger to electronics. I’ve never seen “pcb tabs” used before and don’t have the slightest clue as to how they should be used.

Am I supposed to wrap wire around them? Am I supposed to solder wire to them? I’ve tried that - and it sucks monkey’s balls. For the love of god, I hope I’m missing something. Please tell me what a fool I am and let me know what’s the proper way to utilize these tabs!

Thanks ~ perry

For best results, you should solder the wires to them.

Wow - I’m sorry - but I simply find that a terrible method for making connections … especially for boards as cramped as K8071. And perhaps making an initial connection isn’t particularly troublesome, but FORGET about (de)(re)soldering without buggering up neighboring components. Rubber doesn’t seem to like a 350c iron rubbing up next to it for some odd reason.
