I bought this kit from micro centre today, and after assembly, I was only greeted with a backlight when I powered on the unit. I’ve linked some images of my board here >>> https://imgur.com/gallery/yezDJ <<< The only things that look like they may be causing the issue are that one of the pins on the ic holder was missing (I had to run a wire up through the hole and solder it to the ic), and that I scratched the board slightly with my flush cuts, although that was only on the ground plane. What should I do?
Hi
It seems like you have a defective IC to get a new one.
Please issue a ticket at http://support.velleman.eu/.
Please also check the forum before asking. This is already been answered before.

Would it be possible for me to just flash an arduino uno with firmware and replace the chip on the tester seeing as they use the same ic?
It is not the arduino that’s the problem it will be the CD4050

Ok, thanks! How long will it take to arrive if I place I ticket? It might just be faster for me to order one on Amazon.
