Commands Waiting When Connect

I’m running Velleman supplied Repetier Host under Windows 8.1

Upon connection Repetier shows 7 commands waiting, and it will not accept manual commands. If I reset the controller, the status changes to “idle” and everything is OK henceforth.

Is this normal behavior?

Anyone: When you connect, does your status immediately show “idle” or not?

If you are running Repetier 0.95 make sure Reset on Connect in the printer settings to Disabled.
