Carriage bars move with clicking sound

I have a strange issue… It looks like the bars/gliders where the carriage glides on are too small.
I can see them moving. Is there a way I could tighten them?

In the movie, you can hear the clicking sound, and you can see the bar shifting.

Most probably the alignment of the axis is not perfect. Check the Wiki about this.

Are the black end caps for that rod tight?

Yes, they are really tight.

I aligned the axis once again, and now it seems to have gone away. But I’m printing something bigger with less sudden movements, that could also be the reason.

New problem: it can’t find it’s home position now. Everytime I choose “auto home”, it shifts, let’s say 10mm, to the left… Printing is no problem, just that it isn’t printed in the middle, but slightly to the left, as he set his home position 10mm to the left.

Look at the corners of the printer cabinet where the bars are installed. Have the sides pulled away from each other, forming a gap? This would add space for the bars to slide back and forth. On Thingiverse, someone has made replacement end caps for the bars which reach around the corner of the cabinet to hold the corners closed. I personally put a thin washer inside one of the end caps for each bar and then reinstalled them. On the bright side, the bars sliding and clunking appear to contribute very little, if any, defect to the print quality. At least at first!
