Capacitor wire length

I have come up with a fail safe construction, which will enable me to restore the old contact breaker situation literally within seconds in case there are problems with the transistor ignition.

Therefore I will connect two extra wires to the ignition.
One connected to the capacitor wire and one connected to the point where the capacitor wire is supposed to be mounted to.
These wires I will lead out of the engine to a point I can easily reach.

When connecting them, The capacitor will be connected to the ignition circuit again.

My only question is, how important is the length of the capacitor wire?
Instead of being about one inch it will be 25 inches or so.
Will this be of any negative influence?

We have no experience with this matter.
You will have to experiment.
