Can not upload The Firmware in New Board

Hello I Bought two Control boards, I have been trying to upload the firmware in both of them , I haven’t forget the programmer jumper just in case, I have checked as well the configuration in the Arduino IDE, ports and board. However I always get the same error in both boards:

avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout
avrdude: stk500v2_getsync(): timeout communicating with programmer

any hints ?

Hello

Two ideas, but are only trys, I am not sure if its the problem.

  1. You have installed the FTDI driver? Without this driver (in Mac too) it works but not all correctly.

  2. I have a similar problem with an other Arduino Board (not 3D printer), it helps to press the reset button while uploading.

Regards Roger

I have installed the drivers following this tutorial: learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/ho … k-and-easy.

I still not capable of uploading the firmware. same error

Uninstall the drivers from device manager and choose delete drivers when doing so.
Then restart your system and reinstall the drivers.

I had a similar problem when I used Arduinio 1.6. I fixed it by using the earlier version of Arduino 1.06

Did you put the Jprog jumper on?

Good morning,

I bought a few days ago 'the vertex k8400, yesterday I finished the complete assembly of the printer, I followed all the steps in the manual, when I get to install the firmware for one hot end with Arduino 1.0.6 on Mac Book Pro MAC OX 10.6 Yosemite, I get this message in arduino: avrdude stk500v2_receivemessage () timeout … I followed the step by step procedure JPROG installed on the two pins.

Are there any solutions?
Thank You

Sorry I don’t speak Mac
Do you have a Windows machine to try it on?

Sorry, but I’m the only one who uses the MAC and has this problem? 'll check 'still around.

I have put the jumper in the board. I had uninstalled and installed again the drivers. still no way to program the board. actually I borrow a ramps for checking if the drivers are working. I uploaded the firmware without any problem.

my machine is a window 7 64 bits

Is the printer switched on when you try to upload the firmware? Just the USB cable wont do it even if everything seems to be on.
