Calibration failure

My EDU09 fails to calibrate. How can I debug this issue? Is there a list of the expected voltages at various compenents/pins somewhere?

Calibration results:

CH1 offset at 5V/div : 59 FAIL
CH1 offset at 1V/div : -201 FAIL
CH1 Y-position low 206
CH1 Y-position mid 205
CH1 Y-position high 206

In this thread you can find some voltage values: viewtopic.php?f=46&t=9325
Most probably the -5V is missing.

hello please helppp!! i get this values:
Calibration results:

CH1 offset at 5V/div : 161 OK
CH1 offset at 1V/div : 201 FAIL
CH1 Y-position low 0
CH1 Y-position mid 0
CH1 Y-position high 0

all ic in correct position, resistence etc all in correct position!!! checked a lot of times

what can i do?
thank you very much

Seems to be similar results as in this post:

CH1 Y-position mid 0
CH1 Y-position high 0

So it looks like I’m one step further, however I found the CD74HCT4052E getting hot.
Now I need to know how the CD74HCT4052E should be placed and how the CH1 offset at 1V/div :201 FAIL could be resolved.
Cause: IC1 in wrong position.
If not:
You can return the EDU09 for inspection/repair to your local Velleman dealer or direct to:

Hello thank you
I need to make it work today!
Is there a IC that I can use to replace this one if I can’t find today in store one just like the one on the kit? I took it to a engenier electronic and he say Ic is faulty :frowning:
If there is another Ic I can use please tell me all options you know that could work so I can replace it today.
Thank you very much

hello
same error: alibration results:

CH1 offset at 5V/div : 161 OK
CH1 offset at 1V/div : 201 FAIL
CH1 Y-position low 0
CH1 Y-position mid 0
CH1 Y-position high 0

tryed with any ic and same error:

CH1 offset at 1V/div : 201 FAIL
CH1 Y-position low 0
CH1 Y-position mid 0

dont know what to do any more
please help

im using windows 8 i forgot to say, could that be the problem? is there any extra configuration or driver to windows 8?
thank you

tell me one thing please , in the edu09 board theres contact from the bottom conections to upper conectios or we have to solder up side and in the down side of the board?
thank you

No need for extra configuration or driver to windows 8.
tell me one thing please , in the edu09 board theres contact from the bottom conections to upper conectios or we have to solder up side and in the down side of the board?
There is connection between the sides. Only bottom side is needed to solder.

Have you checked the voltages on IC1 pins.
When the program is started, the voltages should be:1: 0V 2: 0V 3: 0V 4: 0V 5: 0V 6: 0V 7: -5.2V 8: 0V 9: 3.3V 10: 0V 11: 0V 12: 0V 13: 0V 14: 0V 15: 0V 16: 5V

also when i measure the other point of diode when conected to board its 0.0v when i disconect from board its normal, same thing to some caps :frowning:

what can i do?

Please check transistors T1 is BC337 and T3 is BC327.
If OK check also the soldering - no solder bridges.
