Calibrating Z-axis (and problems with Y)

Hi all,

I’ve just finished assembling the vertex printer. And I tried to do the ‘calibrating Z-axis’ chapter, but then ran into this: youtube.com/watch?v=zlV6m11 … e=youtu.be

On the forum here there are tips to check the electronics (which I did) and the pulleys. The electronics are connected in the right spots (checked it) and the pulleys are at their maximum (checked that to).

After that the Y-axis doesn’t want to touch his stop point, and the printer keeps acting like in the videolink above. And if you try to put it, the Y-axis, there manualy (at his stop point), it asks more force to move the printhead than in the middle of the printer, where everything goes smooth. Any ideas on how to fix this, and if this could be the reason it makes that weird sound.

The Z-axis isn’t moving neighter… but didn’t really found anything on that.

Thanks in advance
Amy

First, align the X-Y axis following the guide on the Wiki. It should solve your Y axis not reaching the end-stop.
The Z axis should move once the X-Y homing is functional.
