i bought an HPS10se off ebay used and i will be using it so set gain on amplifiers. i want to ensure an accurate reading. i found these instruction online for calibration. velleman.eu/images/tmp/HPS10%20TD%20V1.1.pdf
ok i did all the steps in the technical document step by step and they were all pass up until the last one. when i got to step 12( which is calibration end) it did not say “pass” and it did not say “fail” , it said “not set” or something like that???
ALL the steps said pass before it got to step 12. i also did it with the back cover off and the battery plug disconnected because i had to adjust some knobs on the trimmer location. it was being powered by an Ac adapter.
can i be confident that with all the steps passed besides the last one that the o scope is good to accurately read a sine wave for clipping?
