Calculate the impedance from a Bode plot with a PCSGU250

Hi,

I have a PCSGU250 and I use the PcLab2000LT software.

I want to measure the impedance of a fruit.

I put a resistance between the generator and the result with:
channel2 = Vin , between the generator and the resistance
channel 1 = Vout , between resistance and the fruit
no resistance between the generator and the result for the mass

How do I proceed from the Bode diagram ?

This is not an easy task.
In any case you have to select in the Bode Plotter View->Phase Plot to get the magnitude and phase plotted.

I’ve to solve this equation with complex numbers ?

Vout / Vin = Z / (R + Z)

I will not do all your homework for you, however here’s a clue…

FUT is the Fruit Under Test;
Z[size=80]fut[/size] is the impedance of the fruit;

For best accuracy R1 should be selected so as to be 75% to 125% of the FUT’s anticipated impedance.
