Building my 408, stuck on step 10

Hey everyone,

I received my Allbot for Christmas and was trying to do the assembly today.
I got stuck on Step 10.

10. Use 1 M3 LOCKING NUT to fasten the M3 x 16mm BOLT in place.

When I try to screw the locking nut on the 16 mm bolt I don’t get any farther than the top.

It’s like it won’t go into the round bit.

Am I doing anything wrong here?

I managed to screw the locking bolt on there using pliers.
Just not possible without it.
