Building Base

Hi
Total noob here . Have just started building and have the base and x frame assembled.

I am looking for clarity with regard to the instructions on this page
k8200.eu/manual/building/?c=003

Just before I add the final aluminium PROFILE it says

“Now slide 2 square M5 nuts into the right ALUMINIUM PROFILE as shown:”
then
“Slide one square M5 nut into the left ALUMINIUM PROFILE as shown:”

I am wondering why there is only one nut on one side and two on the other
This seems to skew the overall frame.

Any advice or direction appreciated

tks
Noel

The 2 nuts on the right are for the X motor holder (2 mounting points) and the one on the right for the X idler (only 1 mounting point).
Make sure you insert it BETWEEN the front and rear X linear guides.

cheers,

Christian

Looks like this was the problem (“Make sure you insert it BETWEEN the front and rear X linear guides”)
I think the order of the instructions in the manual are incorrect
thanks for your help

You’re Welcome!

Yes, the instructions are definitely out of order. I came with the essentially the same problem – the right side ends up too short with the extra nuts outside the rod supports. I looked ahead and see they’re for the motor mount on the right and pulley support on the left, both are definitely between the tow rod mounts.
