i finished to build my vertex k8400, all seems to be good but i have a problem with the z axis, when i use the “go home” , x and y axis are ok but the building platform rises too hight and i have to disconnect the power so that the platform does not touch the head of the printer =/
I try to turn the things for the z calibration but it seems to change nothing
Thanks you in advance if you can help me to find some answers
If the light of the Z-Stop is burning the stop should work… if not then you might want to check the wiring!!
On the back on the left hand side (if you look from the front) there is the screw for the z axis stop adjuster located. turn this counter clockwise with the hex tool… give it a couple of turns and it should lower the stop…
And screw the 3 nuts all the way up of the bed… so that the bed is at it’s lowest… then work you way back up …
If it goes down you probably have an issue with the end-stop. If the wiring is OK then try cleaning the end-stop. If there’s some oil or dust cutting the light beam it won’t work.
When I make it go home, then the bed first move up from where it has ended the last job, and when it is at the top, it goes a bit down again, and then a bit up and are then finished with moving. and the display shows Z = 0.0
I think its the way it work as it had done so all the time and all works well ,also when it has finaly ended home, there is the distance 0,35 mm between bed and head.

ok i find the problem, on the mainboard a wire was a bit unpluged of the zstop , i plugged it a bit and now the go home go up and stop, far from the head but i thinks its will be ok after the calibration
Thanks for your answers
I will shortly say you if the problem is solved or not and if all is going ok
If you are facing the back of the printer like in the picture you will need to turn the screw from the left to the right to lower the bed.
The more you turn the screw in the lower the bed will go.
If you look in the assembly manual on how the screw was installed you will understand the more you raise the flag the lower the bed.
after watching carefully manual to check that I does everything good
i saw that the bed arms of my printer are probably upside down x)
so i hope this will work after changing the orientation ^^
stupid error of me but the pictures in the manual does not show them a lot ^^
after doing this , the auto home is now ok ^^
now juste have an other problem but i ll do a new post for it ^^ (about a MAXTEMP )
thanks you all for your help
