Bios Settings [K8000]

Hi;

I got a K8000 from a friend, it is working fine - I thought.
But on my PC Im unabled to run the Card, I trieg a lot of Drivers and Software, but it doesn’t work… :frowning:

So what Bios setting should the Prallelport (LPT) have, to make the card runnig? Which mode?

Im sorry for my English

Thanks for everyone answers me !

The best setting for your parrallel port is: STANDARD (OUTPUT ONLY), not EPP,ECP.

… doesn’t work yet :frowning:

What can be other reasons? I know the Card is OK, so it is a problem with the software or Settings… Any testsoftware wasn’t working… just the three powerleds on the card are shining…

What’s your operating system version?
Do you find your parrallel port in the Device Manager?
Can you install the drivers correctly?

Moderator: Edited: Seems I was wrong on a couple of suggestions  I’ve removed them not to confuse other users who might have the same problem in the future

What is your operating system ?
Original included software can only be run till Win98.

Parallelport is working fine…
I can see it in Device Manager and a printer is working fine, too.
My OS is Win XP Home SP2…
But that’s the same OS on whitch the card was working at my friend’s place…

Maybe you have forgot to install the driverlinx driver DLPORT I/O.
This is a workaround driver to access directly ports when running Win2K,NT,XP.

That I’ve installt allready… mayby I’ll try to reinstall everything…
or do you have any other suggestion?
