Best upgrade you can do :)?

I have connected a raspberry PI to mine with a wifi dongle. I am using the Octo Print software. They do a sdcard image that just works. I also now use Cura for creating my G code files. I have attached my profile with modified G Code start and end codes. It also supports the camera addon for remote monitoring!!

Just copy this code to a file called k8200 and load it in.

For what is this code used?
For cura or octoprint or …?

Sorry, should have stated that. It’s config code for Cura. Octo print is just a G-Code sender with a web interface. Turns the printer into a Wifi enabled 3D printer with support for the camera to monitor the printing.

I use Blender to create the shapes.
Cura to create the G-Code
Octo print to print it out. Would be cool if Octo print could generate the G-Code too. I guess that will come with time. Being based on the Raspberry Pi does mean I could add all sorts of extras. I would go as far as saying velleman should look at crating a version of their main board to plug into the Raspberry Pi and ship the two together with a Octo print preconfigured sd card.

For £50 you can make your printer Wifi enabled. ( Rpi + wifi + sdcard + power )

Here is a picture of it mounted at the back.
