Bed lowers at start of print

I finally got my problem with shifting layers fixed and got one decent print done but now I have a new problem.

When I start a print the head moves to the correct position but before it starts printing the bed lowers down about half an inch. This is causing it to drip the plastic onto the bed instead of printing like normal.

It first did it with the exact same file I just printed without a problem and now it’s doing it with all the others too. Any ideas?

I managed to “fix” this by turning the printer off for a while then trying again. So there’s that.

Right but the part that isn’t normal is after the bed would lower down it wouldn’t come back up. It was staying half an inch down from the nozzle. It seems to be fixed now though so idk.
