I am thinking of building a bass guitar amplifier and was wondering if the K8060/VM100 is suitable as the power amp stage. If so would I need a pre amp? what would be best?

K8060 would be a good choice, however we do not have any experience with the requirements for a bass guitar pre-amp.

Would the K4102 work with a bass guitar as well as any other guitar? Is it comatible with the K8060?

K4102 is for a regular electric guitar, not a bass guitar. The response curve is totally different.
