Hello All,

I’m working on my own home project, an automatic sprinkler installation. I’m using the weathermatic valves with a solenoid of 24V AC. I saw the VM201 board which is ideal for this project but the outputs are 230VAC or 24VDC but there is nothing mentioned if this is also possible to use it for 24VAC. Does anyone has any experience with this matter?

Hello!

The voltage ratings that you cite are MAXIMUM allowable values that can safely be switched. So if the VM201 is rated for 230 VAC, it can also safely handle 24 VAC.

Note that power calculations and ratings are different for AC vs. DC voltages, which is why it can only handle 24 Volts DC.
