Auto Home Problem

Hi,
About a week ago, I bought the Velleman Vertex 3D printer. It’s amazing to look at, but I have unfortunately a couple of problems:

  1. Auto home doesn’t work. If I start the program, it moves quite well to the upper right corner, but then it’s starts to make weird noises, like it is stuck on something (maybe the endstops?)
  2. If I move the printerhead with the controller knob, it moves a tiny bit or sometimes totally not.
    I have the newest version of the printer firmware flashed on the controllerboard, in case you wanted to know that.

I hope that someone or some of can help me.

They have some great ideas for the alignment of the X and Y axis.

But that is all good, and I already looked at that article. Any other ideas?
