"ASSEMBLING BASE FRAME" extra nuts leave too little space

Hi. I’m following the directions in en_003 - ASSEMBLING BASE FRAME.pdf and when I get to page 21, where it tells me to slide some extra nuts into the frame, if I follow that direction the way it’s listed I wind up with insufficient space to bolt down the fourth frame piece. It sticks off the end.

The process it says to use is:

  1. slide the x carriage completely into the frame (all four rod clamps go in first, according to the pictures)
  2. slide the two extra nuts on one side and the one extra nut on the other side
  3. slide the angle brackets on and clamp down the fourth frame piece.

When I do this, there isn’t enough room for the fourth frame piece to fit flush.

Are the two nuts and one nut supposed to be IN BETWEEN the rod clamps in the frame? Should the order in frame be:

angle bracket, rod clamp, nuts, rod clamp, angle bracket?

Because the manual says it should be:

angle bracket, rod clamp, rod clamp, nuts, angle bracket

and this configuration does not give me enough room. Plus later photos clearly show the extra nuts are NOT in that area.

I can’t find the spot in the manual where I use the three extra nuts, so it’s hard to figure out. I would figure it would go in between them and I’d put a limit switch on at least one of those nuts.

Any advice would be helpful.

Yes off course the nuts must be inserted between the 2 rods on the frame
on the french manual it’s very well explain with much photos
