Aquarium dimmer

Many aquarium holders light their tanks with TL tubes. These tubes can have dimmable electronic vsa, using 0-10 volts DC. Now we are searching for a kit, dimmer, to do the following;

  • on a start time choosen, switch on the mains to the evsa.
  • start the dimmer voltage from 0 - 10 volts, with a user variable speed or time to full light. Say from 10 to 60 min.
  • on a stop time choosen, lower the dimmer voltage from 10 to 0, also with choosable time.
  • if the lamp(s) are out, switch off the mains to the lamps.

There is such apparatus on the marked, but it does not switch off the full mains and it depends on a separate switching clock.

I hope this will be an idea to extend your range of kits. You’ll help not only aquarians but also their fishes that are starteld by sudden on or off of the lamps. There maybe more applications for dimmable tl.
Mind that for many tanks only one or two tubes, that is one evsa, are used. So one 0 - 10 volts output is sufficient.
