My display has become very dim.
I have tried the Contrast control & it doesn’t help.
The battery is fully charged and the AC adapter plugged in.
The 50MHz Velleman probe is connected.
I tried a Reset.
This has been in the box in a climate-controlled room for 3 years.
Could an old battery, even though it shows up as charged, cause this?
Where else can I look, please?

You could try removing the battery and run it off of the AC adapter to see if it helps.
The instructions said that the battery must be connected.
Just tried, Contrast control worked without the battery connected and the display looks good.
Plugged battery back in and display is OK.
Perhaps something was stuck in memory that was cleared by power-up without the battery?
