Ok. Got a k8055 running with linux. What else can it do, other than swithcing on and off electric devices ???
what analog input device could be interfaced ?
temperature, pressure, level, readers, etc
The Universal Temperature Sensor kit K8067 is good for temperature sensing.
well, I never said I wanted to buy another kit… but use the k8055
I never saw any example of people using anything else than the digital outputs.
I guess the digital inputs and analog IO could be useful for some applications…
Anybody ??
For example, reading pH from electrodes, conductivity
At minimum, the state of a contact relay (e.g. an open or close door) or
a liquid level sensor …
What hardware to use, how to do so ?
Thanks !
those are only relays
no analog signals in ou out
nothing different than turning on and off lamps
plus, there is no details on the code
I mean : people that have done something with the k8055 should answer and provide examples, codes, setups, hardware links
I just ordered a kit and I plan on using it to send an SMS message to my cell phone when my house alarm system goes into alarm. I’ll be using an output from the alarm system into one of the digital inputs to trigger it. I’m using VB6 to build to program to monitor it and send the email message. I’ll post further info once I have the board and get it all together.
no big deal !
you can use the serial, usb or parallel port for that, you don’t need the k8055 at all !!
the analog inputs are more interesting, I’ll try reading a pH meter…
