I have some difficulties that the second nozzle is a bit ( approx 0,2 mm thickness of two printer papers) longer. Does anyone have a tip on how to adjust this difference. My idea is to adjust the nozzle of the shorter one by screwing the tip out. This is not my first 3D printer…
I was facing the sam issue and was talking about it with a friend.
We used the nozzle with the closer tip to the bed as reference and adjusted everything to approx 0.2mm above bed.
When this was done, we took the second nozzle (the on which was more screwed “in”) and leveled it to the same position as the first one.
We came really close using a feeling gauge of 0.2mm.
Crosscheck with a 0.25/0.3 gauge as well to see if we cannot move it under the nozzle.
Be aware to set the offset X/Y position of the second nozzle.
for me it is X-23.6 Y-0.4
This was checked by printing a two color rectangle if 2cm x 1cm x 0.4mm putting a second rectangle directly next to it.
So on the bed you have 2 different colored rectangles facing from left to right and the same above facing from top to bottom.
the pair of color should start and end at the same position. the colors should stick together so that there is no gab, or it is almost impossible
to separate the colors.
Then you are done.
Same with me, just assembled a second printhead which is closer to the printbed.
How did you remove the heaterblock? I removed the screw but it won’t release.
Edit:
I managed to screw out the nozzle a little bit but if I do, the nozzle shakes in the isolator guide. So this isn’t a solution. The difference between the 2 nozzles is about 0,1-0,2 mm. The (lowest) second nozzle sweeps through the object made by the first.
